LOU ANMELLA
Lou Anmella-de Montalembert is a consultant, curator, and cultural facilitator whose work focuses on the evolving landscape of Asian contemporary art and its dialogue with the international creative community. From Paris, now based in Ho Chi Minh City, she has been actively engaged in fostering cultural exchange between Asia and France through research, exhibitions, and collaborative initiatives that connect artists, scholars, and cultural institutions.
With an academic background in art history, and 10 years of experience in the cultural sector and the art market, Lou has dedicated much of her work to documenting and promoting contemporary Asian art scenes that remain underrepresented in Europe.
She is the co-founder of ACA Project (Asian Contemporary Art), an independent platform established to address the lack of accessible research and documentation on contemporary art from Asia and its diaspora, particularly in French-language resources. The platform has since grown into an international network offering research materials, editorial content, and cultural programming that brings together artists, curators, collectors, and researchers interested in Asia’s dynamic creative landscape.
Today with Maison Jade, her art consultancy agency, Lou continues to contribute to the development of contemporary art discourse in Asia. Through her consulting projects, academic collaborations, and curatorial programmes, her work highlights the diversity of artistic voices across the region while strengthening dialogue between local creative communities and the broader international art ecosystem.
As a Judge and Advisory Board Member of the Vietnam Creative Awards, Lou brings valuable insight into contemporary artistic practices, cross-cultural perspectives, and the importance of supporting emerging creative talent within Vietnam’s rapidly evolving cultural landscape.
